After being dragged by social media users following his Girlfriend, Temi Otedola, receiving a gift of Ferrari from her father, Banku singer, Mr. Eazi has taken to his Instagram page to plead with fans to stream his latest single, “Oh My Gawd” so he can buy his own Ferrari... even though it’s used, (at all at all na winchy).

This was following the recent purchase of a brand new Ferrari for Temi, his girlfriend, by her father, Femi Otedola.

According to Mr. Eazi, he needs his fans to stream his latest song with Nicki Minaj that’s presently making massive wave l so he can make enough money to buy a black German used Ferrari that was park just beside him.

This was so hilarious that a fan even suggested they open a “GoFundMe” account for him to make that happen.

Nigerian singer and Banku music pioneer, Mr Eazi has won a Latin Grammy award for Best Urban Music Album for his input on J Balvin’s ‘Colores’ album.

Mr. Eazi was featured on his ‘Arcoiris song’ which means rainbow and which according to J Balvin is the best representation of the album because it includes the entire colour spectrum.

The singer shared the thrilling news of his Grammy win on his Instagram page where he posted a copy of the award flier with the caption;

"We won a Grammy!! I got so in Love with the Latino/Urbano scene I recorded, toured , learned & made magic with some of the most beautiful souls!! @MichaelBrun @JBALVIN , @skyrompiendo & the entire Latino Gang!!! !"

Banku music pioneer and Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi has once again introduced a new business idea relating to music and this time around, it involves the fans. According to him, it’s an experiment in which fans will be able to buy shares on his music which means more money for fans. 

He shared the idea on his Twitter where he explained saying; “Gonna try an experiment on my next release where you guys the fans will be able to buy shares on My song! Meaning you will own an equity % on the song! As u stream & give me $ some goes back to You!!!”

Mr Eazi further broke down his idea of buying shares by adding;

For Mr Eazi, the inspiration behind allowing fans buy shares from his music was all the support he’d gotten over the years-- “I have consistently since 2016 been Top 5 most streamed African Artists & that's 100% due to my fans!! I love you guys!! And it’s time to get you in on the equity side!!!”

Prior to this, Mr Eazi introduced EmPawa, a music incubator company which invests in up and coming African artistes and equips them with the knowledge and tools they need.

Giants in their respective spheres, MR EAZI and J BALVIN bridge their musical worlds on the Killertunes-produced “Lento,” trading lyrics in Spanish, English and Yoruba, with a hat tip to Elvis Crespo’s merengue classic “Suavemente.” The Meji Alabi-directed video was shot across continents, with scenes filmed in London, England — Eazi’s home base for much of 2020 — and at Balvin’s HQ in Colombia.

“We always wanted to do a video for this song but we were locked down in different parts of the world,” MR EAZI says. “It was so beautiful linking up with the directors and coming up with this concept in a way where we were still in the video together, sharing the energy. Nigerian musician and music mogul, Mr Eazi is currently on a mission to get back his laptop and phones that were stolen from him in Ghana. As a result, he has embarked on an intensive one-man campaign on the streets of Twitter. 

Mr Eazi who enjoys a long-standing relatioship with Ghana after relocating there to study, must have been there on visit when he first raised the alarm on his missing laptop. He did so with promise of a good reward for anyone who gets it to him, saying; “Abeg If Anybody see my laptop for Accra  make e halla me! I go give am some cool £”

He however did not stop there but went ahead to put out a series of tweets regarding his missing laptop. Some of the tweets include him putting out a picture of his lock screen with the hashtag '#FindMreaziLaptop', to him openly considering hitting the streets personally in search of the laptop. 

Mr Eazi afterwards took his campaign to some of his Ghanaian contemporaries namely, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Medikal who he urged to speak to the boys on the streets to return his stolen laptop and phones.

Putting up a show of good faith, he then wrapped up his campaign #FindMreaziLaptop with a video of him raising a drink to the belief that his laptop will be returned. Mavin records boss, Don Jazzy has begun a new trend with the #stingymenassociationofnigeria which has gone viral on social media.

The newly established association is meant to encourage men who are proud of their uncharitable ways with the symbol encouraging them to continue keeping their fist and the supposed goodies within it closed.

Don Jazzy who took to his Instagram page on the 11th of January 2021 to upload the artwork of the new association with the inscription of a “tight fist” where he wrote;

Hours later, he made another IG post displaying his identity card confirming him as a bonafide member of the association. He wrote;

Since the release of the card, other artistes like ‘Miss you bad’ crooner, Mr Eazi has joined the trend. He made a post on his Instagram page on the 11th of January 2021. He said;

Formed as an elaborate joke on social media app, Twitter, it is said to have been created to overcome excessive billing by members of the opposite gender.

Since it is believed that there's a song for every mood, here are songs that perfectly capture the sentiments of members of the SMAN: 

1. Kizz Daniel- Pak ‘n’ Go

With lines like ‘if you buy am isi'ewu and she say you no buy shawarma pack and go’ and others like' and 'if you buy am okrika, she say she want the Gucci pack and go', this song has all it takes to be the national anthem of members of the stingy men association.

This is a classic hit from 2Baba and even though it sees the legend singing about the importance of having people in your corner, lines like ‘as you see me so, I no send you o,’ is what makes this song fit into the pockets of members of the stingy men association.

3. Gbese- Lil Kesh

Yes, Lil Kesh promised to lavish his wealth on the subject of his fantasies in his song, but the echoed call of ‘gbese re o’ in the chorus is all the reminder that is needed by members of the Stingy Men Association to keep their wallets sealed and their legs moving.

This is a touching song that shows the anguish felt by a man whose lover wants financial loving and not only the emotional currency he can currently afford. While men of the SMAN may be able to afford more, the plea in this song is definitely up their alley.

The motto of the Stingy Men Association is ‘Let me see what I can do,’ a response to future monetary requests they intend to do nothing about. Ironically, on Identity by Oliver De Coque, he sings “I no dey promise anything wey my power no reach. My yes is my yes, my no is my no

I no dey make inyanga, I'm a simple man by nature”  and that sounds like lines from an OG that are worthy of emulating especially by members of the SMAN. Perhaps the association is in for a change of slogan after this. 

7. Ilu Le O- Victor Olaiya

This song makes the perfect addition to this playlist as Victor Olaiya not only captures how everyone struggles with money but the cards a woman might play on a man she’s involved with when in need of money. 

This calm highlife number definitely has all it takes to be the closing song for the meetings of members of the Stingymen Association of Nigeria.

On the 25th of January 2021, Mr Eazi via a video clip on his Instagram page talked about his plans to drop a new project after 3 years. He talked about focusing on the business side of life for the past three years and is now shifting his attention to music. He said;

“You know I think it's been like three years since I put out a project, Life is Eazi vol.II. I feel like I’ve been spending my time trying to make that (makes a funny sound and trying to build Empawa. But right now I'm finally ready to put out a project”

Mr Eazi further went on to talk about his immediate plan to drop a new tune on Friday and also hinted that his upcoming EP has not gotten an official release date and he’ll also be working on ‘Life Is Eazi vol.III’.

It's the 41st birthday of Nigerian songstress and sultry singer, Tiwatope Savage known professionally as Tiwa Savage.

Tiwa Savage turns 41 years old today, the 5th of February 2021. The adorable singer was born on the 5th of February 1980 in Lagos, Nigeria. At the age of 11, she migrated to the United Kingdom for her secondary education. This move exposed her to what life looks like in a multicultural setting and the experience that comes with it. She was part of her secondary school’s orchestra band. She bagged a degree in Business Administration from The University of Kent. She later moved to The United States. The sultry singer has gone on to have an illustrious music career and has become one of the frontline acts for afrobeat.

In celebration of Tiwa Savage’s birthday, we’ll take a look at 6 things you might not know about the singer who doesn't do ‘kele kele’.

1. Participation in the X-Factor

Tiwa Savage participated in the 2006 UK edition of The X-factor. It is a television music competition sponsored by SYCOtv. While in the competition, she made it to the final 24 but couldn’t get through the latter stage which was the final 12.

2. Release of her debut album

Tiwa Savage released her debut album titled ‘Once Upon A Time’ in 2013. She began working on the debut album in 2010. The album included 21 tracks and was recorded while she was under the Mavin records and 323 Entertainment imprint. The album featured acts like Don Jazzy, General Pype, Flavour, Leo Wonder, Iceberg Slim, and Sarkodie. The album included hit tracks like ‘Eminado’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Baby Mo’ and ‘Kele Kele’.

3. Marriage to and Split from Tunji ‘Teebillz’ Balogun

Tiwa Savage got married to Tunji ‘Teebilz’ Balogun in a grand white wedding held at the Armani Hotel in Dubai on the 26th of April 2014. They earlier had their traditional marriage ceremony staged in Lagos, Nigeria on the 23rd of November 2013. 2 years later on the 28th of April 2016, Teebillz accused his mother in law of witchcraft practice and also accused Tiwa Savage of infidelity. In an exclusive interview with Pulse Tv which was uploaded on their YouTube page on the 29th of April 2016, Tiwa  Savage debunked the infidelity claim by Teebillz against her and also gave detailed info on how the couple had been living since they got married. She accused him of infidelity and financial mismanagement. Eventually, the couple splitted in 2016. The marriage produced a son named Jamal Balogun.

4. Signing and Departure from Mavin Records

Tiwa Savage got signed to Mavin Records in 2012 and during her time under the label, she dropped stellar albums like ‘Once Upon A Time’ (2013), ‘R.E.D’ (2016), and the 6 tracks EP titled ‘Sugarcane’ (2017). She also worked on the label-owned and collaborative album titled ‘Solar Plexus’ (2012). Tiwa Savage left Mavin Records in May 2019 in what has been termed as one of the most peaceful label exits by a recording artiste.

5. Working With Beyonce on The Lion King Album

Tiwa Savage worked alongside Beyonce and other top African artistes on the Lion King Album (2019). She recorded ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ alongside Mr Eazi.

6. International Recording Deal With Universal Music Group

After her exit from Mavin Records, Tiwa Savage inked an international a recording deal with Universal Music Group on 2nd May 2019. During Tiwa’s introductory speech, she said;

“My biggest goal is to make Africa proud. I’m so excited for this moment and I’m thankful to Sir Lucian Grainge and my new UMG family for their belief in my dreams. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career and I’m more ready than I have ever been.”

She released her third studio album ‘Celia’ (2020) under Universal Music Group. The album featured British acts, Sam Smith and Stefflon Don, Nigerian acts like Davido and Naira Marley. The album consisted of hit tracks like ‘Koroba’, ‘Ole’, and ‘Temptation’.

Nigerian recording artiste, Mr Eazi and music producer, Kel P have been spotted together in the studio working on new music.

Mr Eazi took to his instastory on the 7th of February  2021 to share Kel P’s instastory of a clip of himself and the music producer together in the studio working on new music. The music producer  had earlier uploaded the clip on his instatory. He captioned the photo;

Recently, the ‘Miss you bad’ crooner revealed he was going to drop new projects this year for his fans after going on a three-year hiatus.
